The mistress of Hakugyokurou, Saigyouji Yuyuko has come in nendoroid form! Will the nendoroid be able to capture her elegantness and cuteness? XD

Saigyouji Yuyuko is the 8th nendoroid in the Touhou Project series, first appeared in Touhou Youyoumu or Perfect Cherry Blossom, as 6th stage boss, also a mistress of Hakugyokurou.

Like Youmu, Yuyuko got a lot of accessories too mainly fan (folded and open), butterflies, ghost, alternate hands and arms, alternate faces >_o

The only down side from her nendoroid is we don’t get her fan (last spellcard). My friend printed the fan for me (first pic) <3

Remi-nee, I won the award!

As you can see in the final poll result, Touhou Project‘s Nendoroid Flandre Scarlet has been crowned as Nendonesia’s Nendoroid of the Year for 2011, beating the runner-up Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Absolute HMO Edition with quite some margin there. XD

Seeing the poll result, I guess Nendoroid Flandre Scarlet is considered to be the best Nendoroid in term of design among all Nendoroid released last year. Well, if you have read GSC’s description of Flandre in its official page, you should have noticed that she was indeed carefully designed by GSC’s sculptors. Here is the Flan’s official description:

From the popular game series, the “Touhou Project” created by the doujin circle Shanghai Alice and following on from her older sister Remilia, comes a Nendoroid of Flandre Scarlet!

I guess Flan’s beautiful wings are simply too much for Hatsune Miku HMO’s adorable expressions and abundance parts to be beaten. Congratulations, Flan-chan! You deserve the award. ^^

Meanwhile, the 3rd place goes to Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Playtime Edition, and Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Support version came in the 4th place, with only a slightly higher votes than 5th ranker Nendoroid Elsie – which has just been released less than 2 months ago. FYI, Support Miku is GSC’s best selling product on 2011, so it is a little surprising to see her out of top 3 in this poll. XD

Note: I know that there are several 2011 Nendoroid that should be included as nominees, such as Nendoroid Sherlock Shellingford (Sharo), Nendoroid Kaname Madoka, and a few others. Sorry about that. I think I will be asking you to decide our next year’s candidates. ^^

Nendoroid Flandre Scarlet and Izayoi Sakuya

EDITOR’S NOTE: I have conducted further research regarding this re-sale saga, and it seems I was partially mis-informed. Apparently, GSC mentioned that the resale will be the first wave of their 10th anniversary voting, hence it will still be possible for GSC to put Nendoroid Miyafuji Yoshika, Saber Lily, Saber Lion, Itoshiki Nozomu, or other Nendoroid inside the top 50 chart on re-sale. Yay! ^^

GSC’s latest Nico Nico broadcast that was conducted yesterday revealed several stuff there, including some Nendoroid to be put on re-sale. As you can see in the pic above, it seems that the re-sale of Touhou Project duo Nendoroid Flandre Scarlet and Nendoroid Izayoi Sakuya has been approved by GSC.

GSC has just announced that the re-release of Touhou Project duo from Scarlet Devil Mansion: Nendoroid Izayoi Sakuya and Nendoroid Flandre Scarlet are available for pre-order starting yesterday.

Nendoroid Erica Hartmann

As promised by Mikatan yesterday, Nendoroid Erica Hartmann (Strike Witches) is available for pre-order starting today.

The undefeatable ace of aerial combat!
From the popular anime series and film, ‘Strike Witches’ comes a Nendoroid of Erica Hartmann – the sixth Nendoroid from the series!

She comes complete with her MK42 machine gun to prove she is the queen of shooting things out of the sky, along with effect parts to recreate her special ”Sturm’ technique. A Striker Unit is also included along with her animal ears and tail, allowing you to pose her soaring through the skies. The stand features the logo of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing and is fitted with joints allowing you to easily pose her in mid-air combat scenes!

She also comes with a lovely winking expression which can be used together with the included military cap to display her receiving a decoration for her services – one of many poses that fans are sure to enjoy!

Nendoroid Konpaku Youmu

GSC makes a surprising movement when they silently put Nendoroid Konpaku Youmu (Touhou Project) for a re-release earlier today. XD

From Shanghai Alice’s popular game series, the “Touhou Project” comes a Nendoroid of Youmu Konpaku – the ghostly gardener who serves Yuyuko Saigyouji.

As she also serves as Yuyuko’s guardian and sword instructor, she also includes both of her swords: the long bladed Roukanken and the shorter Hakurouken, as well as a ghost to float around her. She also includes a total of three expressions, including her standard face, an angry face and a face with closed eyes. A large variety of parts allowing you to recreate all sorts of situations!

The pricing has not changed, though her re-release schedule is set for December 2012 now.

Nendoroid Alice Margatroid and Saigyouji Yuyuko

Nendoroid from Touhou Project series is finally resumed, as proven by Mikatan’s preview on Nendoroid Alice Margatroid yesterday.

From Team Shanghai Alice’s popular Touhou Project game series, comes a Nendoroid of the magician who lives in the Forest of Magic, Alice Margatroid! The puppets allow you to pose Alice showing off her ability to control puppets in battle – just one of the many interesting situations you can recreate in Nendoroid form!

She is going to bring along two expressions, three puppets (although the preview only shows two), her grimoire, and a few other optional body parts. How adorable! XD

Anyway, she will also be released along with Nendoroid Saigyouji Yuyuko, who also gets a resale announcement. Sweet! ^^

She is wearing her light blue kimono with a gentle smile across her face, but also comes with two extra expressions, including a contemptuous expression for a darker look, as well as an innocent smile for a cuter appeal. She also comes with both an open and a closed folding fan, some spirits to float around her and even some ghostly butterflies to flutter around her.

You can display her with together with Nendoroid Youmu Konpaku to recreate the everyday life at Hakugyokuro!

She is priced at 3000 Yen and scheduled for re-release at the same time with Nendoroid Alice Margatroid – January 2013.

Mikatan is still away on a business trip to China, so there will be another staff posting article in place of her. Today’s blogger is Nutty from GSC’s production team who is previewing the upcoming Nendoroid Fujiwara no Mokou (Moko-tan) from Touhou Project.

The powerful and immortal fire spell user Moko-tan will bring along three expressions: smiling, sulking, and mischevous face. She will also have the tasty-looking grilled chicken as well as the parts to let her do tomboyish pose with her hands on her pocket. A few other flame effect parts, including one of her spell cards, “Immortal: Phoenix Wings Rise“.

Ayayayayaya~

Joining the latest character from Touhou Project in Nendoroid form, here comes Shameimaru Aya, a tengu and a reporter, known as the Traditional Reporter of Fantasy!

Aya comes with quite a lot (a few) of accesories. Her accesories consist of:

Alternate hands for holding book, camera, and pen.

Default hands for holding her fan.

2 normal stands (one for her, one for the wind effect, I think?)

Crow+mini stand

2 alternate faces, one with wink and one annoying expression known as “Kimeemaru” (yes I did hide the face in purpose :p)

Pair of wings. Wings are attached in quite a unique ways compared to other winged Nendoroids. Reason? Unclear, but maybe it’s because in some version, Aya doesn’t have wings on her back.

So why did I say she got (a few) accesories? Well, for starter, she doesn’t have any alternate shoulders. That means she can’t do widespread arm pose unlike almost every other nendoroids.

Second, she doesn’t come with unique stand like the other Nendoroid from Touhou Project, just a plain, old square. This takes a lot of points at least for me, because I like seeing the unique stand in every other Touhou Project Nendoroid :(

Paint apps is perfect as usual (no noticeable paint error), and I must say, I’m satisfied with how her expression turned to be. Normal smile, cute wink expression, and annoying “Kimeemaru” expression, they got it right for all faces! Good job, sculptor!

Verdict: Buy or not buy? Definitely buy! Even without not really knowing the series, Aya is still a good Nendoroid, I will say it’s near perfect with how detailed she is, and how cute she is (especially that wink expression!)
